Tysons Central Connect, the transportation program at Lumen, launched this year, and we could not be more excited to have joined the neighborhood. To kick off the program, we celebrated Try Transit Week with you at Lumen. In honor of Try Transit Week, a week that comes just once a year, you enjoyed Panera breakfast, entered a raffle to win a SmarTrip or Starbucks gift card, and took the pledge to try transit during the week of September 16-20, 2019. Try Transit Week Wrap-up


Every year for one-week, DRPT encourages commuters to take public transportation to work by pledging to try transit. Tysons Central Connect celebrated this year’s Try Transit Week with a breakfast event at Lumen on Thursday, September 12th. All residents who attended were eligible to enter to win a $100 SmarTrip Card or a $50 Starbucks Gift Card. Congrats to our two big winners! How to get to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport During the Metro’s Summer Shutdown


The Summer 2019 Metro shutdown is in full swing!  Six Metro stations shut down on May 25 for much-needed track repair and will be out of commission until September 8. All stations south of Reagan National Airport will remain closed until September 8. That means the airport will be the end of the rail line all summer long. Even if you do not travel south of Reagan, every commuter in Northern Virginia will feel the rifts of the shutdown.
